## Upgrade Paths {#2-21-1-upgrade-paths}

NGINX Instance Manager 2.21.1 supports upgrades from these previous versions:

- 2.18.0 - 2.21.0

If your NGINX Instance Manager version is older, you may need to upgrade to an intermediate version before upgrading to the target version.

## What's new {#2-21-1-whats-new}

This release includes the following updates:

- [icon: feature] **NGINX Instance Manager Health Monitoring Feature**<a name="2-21-1-whats-new-NGINX-Instance-Manager-Health-Monitoring-Feature-46966"></a>

   Starting with NGINX Instance Manager version 2.21.1, the platform includes the following:

   - Health check endpoint for overall platform health (GET /api/platform/v1/health)
   - Aggregated health monitoring script for overall platform status (Script location: /etc/nms/scripts/health-aggregator.sh)
